Jamm

A disposable camera for the whole crew.

Jamm turns a group of phones into one shared disposable camera. Friends join in the browser, shoot to the same roll, and wake up to film-developed prints and a recap made for the group chat.

Making the camera part of the night, not another task

The key insight

A shared camera only works when joining is immediate and nobody has to manage uploads afterward. The product needed to disappear quickly enough for the group to get back to the moment.

The design direction

We borrowed the useful constraints of a disposable camera—one roll, a frame counter, flash, no retakes—and paired them with a six-letter code, browser-based joining, and automatic delivery to everyone.

Keep the whole crew on one roll

Every participant sees the same live Jamm, the people shooting, and the prints as they arrive. The shared roll replaces the usual next-day scramble through texts, AirDrop, and half-forgotten albums.

Give phone photos the character of film

Jamm 400 was modeled against real disposable-camera scans. Its color response, flash falloff, olive blacks, exposure-aware grain, and burned-in date stamp make the roll feel developed rather than filtered.

Cut the night into something worth sharing

After the roll ends, Jamm can turn the crew's prints into a vertical recap with full-screen hits, stacked photos, and hard cuts built for the group chat.
